Current eBike Tours

For the months of April and May, eBike tours are short distances (less than 15 km). Tours include destinations and stopping points along the way and many photo ops. Most tours are preset but exceptions can be made. See map below for our current bike route.

Bike tours are limited to one or two riders.

Tours are not available on days that are raining or have a high chance of rain.

Prices are $80 per person per bike tour (tours last about 1 hour) this includes ebike rental, helmet and tour guide (me). Proper instructions and patience included!

Requirements

Driver’s license required, and you’ll need to sign a waver that you are at your own risk. I will do my best to make sure you don’t hurt yourself but ultimately you are responsible for yourself.

All riders must wear provided helmet or BYO (helmets are CPSC certified). Available helmet size range is from 54 cm to 62 cm.

Before we go on tour, I will assess your skill level first and can refuse if the rider is not capable of riding. It’s better safe than sorry and no cost if you can’t do it.

Bike routes are primarily on bicycle and walking paths limited to 20 km/h. Cyclists must slow down around people and give warning using a bell when necessary. No stunt riding, off-road riding or jumping curbs allowed.

Availability is very limited.

7 days a week, flexible hours. Morning to early evening.

Please use contact form to request date and time and we’ll confirm if it’s open.

Bike Route

Our most popular bike tour includes going over the Chief William Commanda Bridge which was a rail bridge now converted into a footbridge for walking and cycling. Reopened for the season on April 10 2025.

This tour can include a stop on Bate Island which is located off of the Champlain bridge.

In case of emergencies

If one of the bicycles gets a flat tire or otherwise breaks, I will bicycle home and get my car then pick you up and then drive you back to your car. Some walking may be necessary from the bike path to the road. This service is included in the price and the flat tire will not be charged to you.

There are public washrooms on Bate Island and the local community centre down by the river near the bicycle path.

Shorter distance tours and tryout sessions available for beginners.

How to get here

Most people drive over to start this bike tour. Free parking.

There is also public transit (STO) that stops nearby. Google map lists bus routes and schedules.

All tours currently start at the entrance to the Gatineau Park on Rue Hormidas-Dupuis and Pharand.
