eBiker specializes in bicycle tours for new and beginner riders.

It doesn’t matter if you’re inexperienced or haven’t been on a bike in years, we’re here to watch out and guide you. We’ll give you some pointers and make sure you’re doing the correct things.

Half hour tryout sessions around the block, up some small hills and along a portion of the Gatineau park bike trail. You get to try both hub drive and mid-drive ebikes of different sizes and styles. Prices are $45 per person per half hour.

First we test you out on a regular touring bicycle to see how your balance and flexibility is. Based on that we recommend some short test runs on either a hub drive or mid drive electric bike.

Usually these are driven at level 1 or 2 to begin and we then test your ability to make sudden stops and dismounts. Then for the brave, a run at higher speeds on the road. Bicycle paths are limited to 20km/h.

Bonus if you’re able to stand on the pedals and/or ride standing. Also we can evaluate how much you’re able to turn and see behind you and around you while bicycling. Some riders like to like to use bicycle mirrors, others do not.

If you’re confident and then want to further test your endurance you can book a bike tour and get 25% off. As we go on the bike tour we can assess how you’re doing and match your pace and the distance that you wish to go.

The neighbourhood for trying out the bikes is very quiet, located on Rue Pharand and Hormidas-Dupuis in Gatineau Quebec (Hull).
